Hello to all the squirrel room families!
We have been busy settling our new children and supporting them in building new friendships whilst enjoying playing together both indoors and outdoors.
The children have been adapting to our new routines which have been introduced since the recent change of COVID 19 guidelines. Easing restrictions has meant that children are now able to eat lunch in our dining room.
Over the summer months a new kitchen has been built in the squirrel room. This allows us to encourage our children to be more independant whilst preparing and having snack, supported by a member of staff.
We have re-introduced group singing which is always very popular with our children and the introduction of small group gatherings has allowed us to talk about topics such as getting help, climbing safely, planting and growing seeds. We have been looking at apples and talking about seeds at the core. The childern have been germinating our gathered seeds and planting them.
We are also taking care of our allottment in the front garden.
