Support for learning – Living with COVID19

Wellbeing

Please remember that this is still an anxious time for everyone. We are now living with COVID19. Young children ‘borrow’ emotions from adults and so we need to make sure that we look after our own emotional wellbeing so we can best support our children. It is normal for children to explore their worries and though repetitive play, this may offer a good time to begin conversations.

Children need lots of love and reassurance, be mindful about the content of conversations you have within children’s hearing.

Key Messages

The most important things that parents can offer their children are cuddles, conversation and play.  Read stories and talk to children.  Keep children curious, as long as they are curious the learning will follow!
